Ramadan 2024/1445

Ramadan 2024, corresponding to the year 1445 in the Hijri calendar, is set to begin on or around Monday, 11 March 2024. Pending the sighting of the moon, the month lasts 29 or 30 days with Eid ul-Fitr set to fall on or around 10 April 2024

Why do Muslims across the globe begin and end Ramadan on different days?

Many Muslims believe that the new moon – marking the start of the Holy month – requires being seen by the ‘naked eye’. In this video Dr Yasir Qadhi, an American theologian and public speaker, explains the differences and rulings surrounding the starting the month in the Muslim Hijri calendar
